Hi,

Yesterday (6th), my download speed has dropped to around 1900kb from it's normal average 6000kb. On looking at the Max report for the last few weeks I see this:

BT IPStream Max 6000 - Opt O 24/05/2007 15:09:41
BT IPStream Max - Opt O 01/06/2007 09:50:44
BT IPStream Max 448 Opt O 02/06/2007 06:42:24
BT IPStream Max 448 Opt O 03/06/2007 15:46:29
BT IPStream Max - Opt O 06/06/2007 15:29:06

Anyone else seen these empty lines before and know if it's related to my speed drop?

Everything else checks out ok - modem stats, upload speed, ping rate all good and I've rebooted the modem a few times.

The Max reports seem to be having a slight problem in showing up (as in, they're blank!) I have raised this with BT so they are aware.

It doesn't cause any issues as regards to the speed though - can you run a BT test :)

Hi James,

At the moment, the BT speed check keeps giving an Internal Server Error at the last step so I don't have the full details. But it did show my profile as:

'Your configured download throughput speed for this service is 2000 k'

I'll try it again later.

That means you are on a 2Mb profile - meaning thats why its giving you below 2Mb speeds - odd. Has your router lost connection and reconnected between 2272 and around 2600 ? (could have happened overnight?)

No, that's what I found odd. When I checked my logs before rebooting the router, there had been no disconnects for a week or more and a fairly low CRC error count.

Strange. The profile should rise itelf...
