My lock in period with a third rate ISP ends next month and I intend to migrate to you.
Before doing so, however, I would appreciate your comments. My current line is ADSL Max 8Mb. My netgear router shows the following: connection speed 7616/448, attenuation 18/11 and noise margin 10.9/21. I live 600 yards from the exchange as the crow flies. I have only a master socket in the house as I use cordless phones.
I have kept details of my speed history from DSL Zone for most of the last year. The highest speed was 6Mb ( once!) and the lowest 600Kb ( often!). For the last month, the speed has never been above 3Mb and is often below 1Mb. These measurements have been taken at all times of the day on both weekdays and weekends. I have tinkered with TPC Optimizer but to no effect. Any questions to the ISP have either been ignored or met with the response that the issue is at the BT end.
I think I should be doing much better than this. Would this be the case if I migrated to you? I would be somewhat surprised were you to say "No" so perhaps I could also ask why the speeds would be better.
Many thanks
