It's just me, trying to get in.

My MAC code from Pipex arrived this morning, so off I went to enter it on the website. Nope, you can't do that, you have to phone us. Phoned ... we're terribly busy, can't talk to you right now, leave your name and number.

Here's hoping I'll soon be an ADSL24 customer.

Nope, no call back either. Too busy?

Hi Keithj

Brian rang me back later the same day after leaving my name and number when I wanted to sign up. As it's a Monday I would guess he is busy sorting out the usual Monday morning stuff and will call you later.

Don't worry Keithj, you will definitely get a call back from Brian.

I have to go out now - as one does during the week.

The online signup didn't work. UKFSN's did.

Oh well.

I know that there is currently a problem with Adsl24 taking migration orders online, which means it has to be done over the phone. If you leave Brian a mobile number, he will call you back. He has been known to call people back up to 9:30 pm at night.

Too late :(

UKFSN's up and running (POP mail working, the lot). Migration date set. All done online and all paid for. Almost too easy.

Hi Brian,

Is anything being done to fix the problem with taking migration orders online?

Not at present because I dont know enough about curl and xml in order to add a payment option.

The actual migration script still works but the problem with it is customers dont get to pay for there first payment and we get billed for that, then we have a problem trying to get the payment out of the customer.

The script is supplied by Entanet and it does not provide a gateway for payments and thats why its removed.

If we manually process the migrations, we then see Entanets payment gateway and add the customers card details so they then get billed for the first time. If we use our script, the customer gets the first month free and we get billed for it.

Thats why I have removed it but if I had a contact with someone whom can add some sort of payment meathod to it and then the details get sent to Entanet.

Lots of work involved and not knowing how ukfsn does it, then Im in the dark.

Bummer, that. :(

Maybe if you asked Jason nicely he'd share his info?
