Hiya all

I used to use a ventrilo client on my old ISP (BT) so I could chat with friends. It all worked fine, but since switching too ADSL24 I keep getting timout and the ping display in vent itself read about 15000 ping

Heres a trace I have done

Is this somehting that will sort itself or am I stuck with this problem? Also noticed I sometimes get random discons from X-fire that I never used too.

Cheers for any help
Dean.

Strange. It's likely to be one of those things that sort itself.

I've never heard of Ventrilo before - what is it?

The problem appears to stem from a router along the way, there are some timeouts after our network -

I think Ventrilo is an alternative to Teamspeak, which is popular amongst gamers so that they can speak to each other during matches in a sort of 'conference' style chat room. :)

Better than teamspeak though IMO I ping 30/40 to our vent server and have never had any issues yet

Hiya chaps,

I seem to have fixed the problem, I installed ventrillo on a different pc connected to the same router and it worked for a good hour non stop. Its either my sound drivers on my main pc or something dodgy going on between my LAN card and the router.

I'll look into it tommorow as im knackered right now lol
