I need some help. I can send emails out but the replies don't seem to be coming back to me. Heres what I do.
Click onto ADSL24 site.
Click on webmail button.
I then get a cPanel come up with Horde on one side and Squirrelmail on the other side. Whichever one I click on, if I look in sent mail my sent messages are there but if I look in inbox there is nothing. Even when I forward the test message I have just sent myself to my Hotmail address back to myself at adsl24.
Where am I going wrong???? Help.
Ian.

Have you set up the from email address that should appear on outgoing messages? In SquirrelMail, go to Options, Personal Information. In Horde, go to Options, Mail, Personal Information.
Hi Ian.
Have you set up your pc to receive the email?

Hi Ian

smtp.username.adsl24.co.uk
pop.username.adsl24.co.uk
username=email address
password is password to log into squirral account
Keep asking away.....or PM Brian if you get really stuck:confused:

Have you looked at the tutorials on ADSL24 site
Tutorial (http://adsl24.co.uk/tutorials/xskin2/email.htm)
It has a link in setup to auto configure outlook...
aye but don't forget that the syntax is name+username.adsl24.co.uk ie you need to have the + symbol there

Username=email address, but as pcdoc pointed out replace the @ in the address with a +
Cheers...pcdoc

Actually either @ or + will work.
If you log into cPanel and click the mail button and then the account, it will give you all the details in there.
Regards,
Be sure to enable SMTP Authentication in your E-mail client or you may not be able to send mail. If your e-mail client has trouble using a @ sign in the login, you can use +, :, or % sign instead.

Where do I find "email client"??
( You are forgetting what I first told you. Regarding computer workings I have no idea. Give me an engine or gearbox and I know my way around, but computers. Forget it.)
