Hey guys,
I just got on and so far I'm able to download at a full 460k/sec which is great. I should be set up for the 8Mbit max however - is there anything I should do to my router to get that speed?
Right now i am showing Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 4,800
SpeedTouch v6 as recommended by James of course..
Also, my pings in WoW seem off... i'm seeing 450 pings at the moment. Any advice would be appreciated!
Nicholas
Your speed looks fine as your line to the exchange is 4,800 meaning 460kb/sec is pretty spot on.
The pings however should not be anything like that. Are you downloading in the background or using wireless?

no downloading - wired connection.
So 4,800 is normal then? I though i'd be seeing 7,100 or so seeing as how I'm in downtown london - no hope for that then :)
Can you provide the full output from the speedtouch stats page?

There is a lot of noise on that line. You should be getting nearer 6500+. It's probably down to an extension or filter. Have you tried the router in the test socket of the main master socket?

No - this sounds like a weekend project for me. I'll check it out, thanks for the heads up on the noise!
