Hi everyone,
I am looking for another ISP and my researches have led me to ADSL24.
I really dont want to get in the same position that I am in now! My present ISP contract expires on Monday the 12th (hooray). Cant wait to get my MAC.
Anyway, from what I can find, ADSL24 seems to fit the bill pefectly.
OK so I am partial to the odd spot of p2p (film) downloading but my current ISP restricts the bandwith at all times of the day and night. What should be 2mb download speed is really about the same as dial-up.
Shall I take the plunge and pair up with you and ADSL24? Incidentally, my present ISP is Tiscali (what a load of ******s they are) so please have pity on me :)
Look forward to hearing from you.
Welcome to the forums Oddsocks, we aim to please and other customers will be along to voice there opinions shortly.
Regards,
Welcome, oddsocks. You're cutting things a little fine if you don't have your MAC yet.
It's a great place, this. Just be aware that Enta have an anti-loss tool that tends to dampen speeds for an hour or two when peak time begins at 10 p.m. (when the whole country hits the 'download' button), but speeds shouldn't drop below 2 Mbits then. There's more capacity on the way in the coming weeks.

Hi oddsocks, welcome to the Adsl24 forums. As Ircsum says, there can be a bit of a slowdown when the off peak period starts at 10:00 pm, but it's really not that bad. Entanet have 2 more centrals on order to keep up with demand. You'll definitely find it a lot better than Tiscali.
Hi oddsocks
Welcome to the forum:D
All i can say is that you will not be disappointed with the service...Its on a monthly notice contract. If you look around at the other resellers of Enternet (ukfsn and vivaciti) you find the same response about the quality of service.
So its not purely biased.
With ADSL24 you get more value for your money....The email has virus and spam controls. You can host your own website free, and most of all you've got this Forum:D
So if your still interested...It will be good to have you aboard
Regards
Cliff:)
and dont forget its a freephone support number...
HI Oddsocks, get yer'sen onboard you will be ok here the anti-loss tool only makes it fairer for everyone. Brian doesn't do a bad job, in fact I suspect their lass has had to send in a support ticket for him to clear the snow from the path :D

Just to update you good people.
Have requested my MAC and am awaiting it. I waited till yesterday to request it, for obvious reasons. Should be here soon, I hope.
BTW, chap at Tiscali told me that my line is an LLU at my exchange (Winton, part of Bournemouth). According to my research Tiscali have no LLU at Winton. If there is, is there likely to be any problem migrating to you?
Look forward to hearing from you. :)
No problems (fingers crossed) but there will be a fee of £45 plus vat plus the first months advance payment to be made.
Regards,
and dont forget its a freephone support number...
Last time I heard of a freephone support number was with AOL before they changed it to a charged for number last year! I think ADSL24 might be the only provider in existence to offer freephone support, you know?
WTG if they are :D
