Here we go again, James.

The log reads :

BT IPStream Max 864 750 Auto 07/08/2007 16:28:47
BT IPStream Max 4000 3500 Auto 07/08/2007 18:29:00

BT IPStream Max 3424 3000 Auto 19/08/2007 22:28:21

The router status reads:

CRC Rx Interleaved 9
CRC Tx Interleaved 5
Path Mode Interleaved
DSL Statistics

and the BT speed test reads :

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 3000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 4480 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 2754 kbps

So the history so far for the past month is, first day I am getting 4000 speed, next day a reset to 3500 and the next day stuck on 2700. or there abouts.

Do we just stay on the under 3000 and have to be satisfied? Allow the stuck profile?

I know it is only 3 days, but I would be very surprised to see a change without your help.

No, I am still looking for a shielded one. Maplins is out of stock.

I seem to have the same problem since migrating from VM. Although my router is consistently synchronising at 5500, I only get BT speeds of 2700 and my profile seems stuck 3000. Maybe it's just a question of waiting as its only three dyas for me too not even that. Having said that my consistent speeds of about 3Mbps is such an improvement from my last provider that I am already very happy and the support here is just so much better, no comparison really!

Hope the profile goes up for you!

Thanks, Siamanti.

Mark, the High Speed Broadband Modem Lead is in. My router dropped to 4064 on startup. The speed remains the same.

This is a 15 metre lead straight from the BT master switch which has a ADSL 2+ filter on it with only this cable plugged into it.

At present, no improvement.

I have reconnected to my original alarm wire and the router reads higher than if connected through the proper cable.

Speeds remains well under 3000 and BT profile is stuck at what it was this morning.
Any changes should have been seen by 4pm today.
