Networking problem.

My setup is as follows.

1 x Linksys WAG54GS wireless router.
3 x Linksis WAP54G Wireless Access Points
2 x Windows 2000 servers
1 x wireless Laptop
4 x desktop PC’s
1 x Palm TX PDA
2 x Gameboy DS

Plus any other adhoc wireless devices.

I am also adding a 3rd server to my setup (with windows 2003 R2 server) as a second webserver

I have 8 static IP addresses (5 useable,) 2 assigned to servers

My router has NAT disabled, as per instructions for connection to adsl24, I therefore have NAT set up on one of my servers.

My problem is this…

For one of the desktop pc’s, (my daughters), I need some way of restricting internet access. I need to restrict url’s and to disconnect the internet at set times. And if possible limit bandwidth :)

I am considering Microsoft ISA server, but that will have to run on the 2003 server, my preference would be for solution to run on the 2000 server as it’s already set up as the internet gateway.

I know there is a few Linux distro’s out there that are configured for what I need, but I have very little experience with Linux, and don’t really have the time to start messing with it. Plus I don’t have another box at the moment to play with.

any ideas?

some routers can restrict bandwidth and also time limit internet connectivity

Yeah, i know. My linksys router can do this, but as i dont have enough IP addresses for all my kit i have to use NAT on one of the servers... so
I cant use the router to restrict access...

hmmm... the other option is to buy another block of ip 8 adresses from adsl24.... lol, it would be cheeper than ISA server......

still... i would have to keep all the wireless stuff routed through one of my servers....
