Opinions advice appreciated!

Cheers

having interleaving off will reduce your pings... you should also see an improvement in your download speed...

looking at your stats, you already have good speeds so i am not sure if it will make that much difference. but at the end of the day, you don't need it, get rid of it...

Mine dropped from 40 to 80ms to 10ms and 40ms once i had it switched off....

Cheers for your input.

My current ping time to servers I play on regularly is averaging around 15 - 20ms, lowest I've seen so far is 6ms!

Hence i'm not sure it will make much difference if I turn it off?

lol just seen your edit after i posted.

Think I might have to agree with you, should I wait for the training period to end (as i just migrated to ADSL24) before attempting to turn it off?

also, if it is set to auto, ADSL supports 64 depths of interleaving... it looks like yours is set to a very low level.... or it maybe off already....

You don't sync at 8128 if you have interleaving on, so i would say it isn't enabled. :)

in the first post, it does say 8128 for connection speed.... so it does appear to be off....

maybe you should have gone to specsavers lol.....

So, wtf its off already?

:S

maybe you should have gone to specsavers lol.....

Soz, is that directed at me? cos tbh just by "seeing" 8128 in the connection speed, didn't translate as interleaving off.

ROFL

I wasn't annoyed - just new to interleaving :D so didn't know that 8128 meant it was off - if that makes sense...

cheers again.

Don't worry I didn't either, it isn't widely known until someone actually tells you about it. :o

Is there any way of increasing the upload speed?

Currently :

Your upload is alot higher....

does that involve adjusting MTU, RWIN etc?

snoods
12/10/2007, 14:29
Well i haven't tweaked anything my MTU is at 1500. Probably just down to line quality. Your download is faster than mine, don't be greedy. :p
