Does anyone here know how to get the second stage of BT's Speed test working for Enta?
(the section you get when your connection is below the fault threshold)

I have tried the following as username(s) as directed:

bt_test_user@adsllogin.co.uk
bt_test_user@adsl.enta.net
bt_test_user@adsllogin
bt_test_user@enta
bt_test_user@adsl24

But can't get it to work. I am obviously missing something.

Cheers

Dae

I just use my ADSL24 username and it works everytime. No BT user names anywhere near it.

eg

myadsl24username @ adsllogin.co.uk (Spaces added to stop pointless link appearing)

http://speedtester.bt.com/

Does that not work for you?

Just tried it again and all is well.

IP profile for your line is - 7150 kbps
DSL connection rate: 832 kbps(UP-STREAM) 8128 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 6768 kbps :p

Yeah that works fine normally, but if your speed test is below the fault threshold (<400Kbits i think) the speedtester will request a second test. BT display instructions, but they are next to useless.

And this is why i need to use the stage 2 test ...

@16:30
IP profile for your line is - 6500 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 7616 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 74 kbps

@18:30
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 197 kbps
