I keep losing my connection to XBox Live at 1am on the dot. As the clocks went back this weekend, last night it happened at midnight. I don't think it's an XBox Live problem as I think I would have seen some complaints on the XBox forums.
Anyone shed any light on this?

Go to bed earlier :D
Sorry, couldn't resist. Hope you get it sorted
Can you reconnect straight away afterwards?
Is there anything else in your house that goes off at the same time (eg central heating?)

Yep I can reconnect straight away. I am not aware of anything else that goes off at that time.
A set time indicates that its an electronic device or a setting causing the issue - not a BT problem.
How long has this been happening do you think?

Difficult to tell, only recently I've sorted my connection out. Noticed it in the last week.
Do the street lights go off at that time?
Ircsum.
Don't street lights stay on untill daylight? I have never known them to go off at 1AM :D ;)
Does your internet connection drop at this time or is it just the xbox live?
Do your connection logs in the adsl24 control panel show a disconnection.
One theory (it appears on google) is your DHCP address renews every 24 hours (the one given to the xbox from your router) so this is why it drops. Check your DHCP settings in the router (BTW what router do you have?)
I've got a friend had this problem and he's got a Netgear DG834G. He never did figure out why it was doing it, but he changed to a DG834GT and it went away.

Ummm I'm using a DG834G !!!!
Probably some setting to check for updates or to provide a DHCP address - or just a bug in the firmware.
Are you running the latest firmware?

I updated the firmware a couple of weeks ago, so that's up to date. I'll look for some settings tonight.
Maybe thats the problem..... the later firmware - could the problem have started then when you updated it? - maybe better in this case to try an older version (if you can remember what version it was before). Linksys router firmware updates always seems to generate more bugs that it solves!
Have you also tried another router etc? Do you get kicked off the Internet in general even if you are not on XBox Live ?

I found a post somewhere that suggested my DG834G is refreshing the schedule for firewall rules etc.
When I manually changed something in this section and clicked apply, I did indeed lose my XBox Live connection(connected wirelessly), but could still access the web with my PC.
So it seems this could be the problem. Although the schedule settings are default, all day, every day? Strangely though, at midnight last night, it didn't happen, which may be down to my fiddling and put it out of synch??
Its a known bug with certain netgear routers, ive had it for years. Certain firmware versions dont have it, yet certain newer firmware brings the bug back

You could be experiencing the issue described in http://www.adsl24.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=3164.
