I have a Netgear DG834 and sometimes when I upgrade or install new internet software the software will not or no longer connect to the web.
Anybody have a clue why the router is now stopping it?
I am using opera 9.23 but if i install 9.24 it no longer works, same with firefox and thunderbird updates. When I go back to the earlier version everything is fine.
I can only find port firewall settings in the router and not software ones, unlike zonearlarm which I used with just a modem that allowed for software yes/no choices.
Anyone help because it's driving me nuts googling all the time only to find how many shops are selling the router.
