Hi again this is the nightmare again.
I already have oe set with my tiscali addy which will disappear shortly.
Just been having a look to see about setting the new email addy from adsl24.
Help what do I enter into the pop and smtp server boxes please.
Hi,
Have you added any email addresses at all to your account?
If not do so and the last page will give you these details.

Well I'm sorry Brian I'm not finding this very easy to get my email address.
Gone to control panel entered my username etc. clicked on web and email, then click on free account and I now have another screen asking for a different username and password.
Finding this very confusing indeed. All I want to do is get an email address please.

Why can't I access adsl24 control panel, it will not open
I need to set up my email accout, but cannot get access.:)
Because your looking at Entanets panel thats why and not the cPanel which is the one we provide.

Yes Brian thats the one I have been clicking but its not loading for me for some reason, the page stays blank white. The gren bars on the bottom stay on around 3. Is it perhaps of my dreadful tiscali speed around 448.9kbps at the mo.
I will leave it longer to load.
When I just tried to get into the webspacemail page using my adsl24 login name and password, nothing happens. Is that because my account is not activated yet?
Thanks
What link are you trying to access?

Its the webmail login page, and in the bottom taskbar it says: pluto.adsl24.co.uk:2096
I am using Firefox and allowing the scripts for that page.
oh, its the same for the ADSL24 cPanel login: pluto.adsl24.co.uk:2083
Thanks
Yes but have you setup any email addresses at all?
Have you received the login details from us yet?
I got this last week: bobg4uyi@adsllogin.co.uk. err just a minute, thats not my email address is it??? doh!
Look under
Your Free Adsl24 Free Hosting And Email Details (Supplied by Adsl24 and NOT Entanet)
Within that email.
Ok, just checked that email and looked under
Your Adsl24 Free Hosting and email Details (etc etc)
and my email addy: bobg4uyi.adsl24.co.uk
So I then tried to login to the cPanel with that, but again, nothing happens, excepth the text boxes clear!
Must be doing something wrong??
And what does it say under that heading in regards to username and password!
| Domain: ********.adsl24.co.uk
| Ip: **.***.**.*** (n)
| HasCgi: y
| UserName: ********
| PassWord: *******
And under that it says:
Please use the following URL and the above username/password to gain access via our cPanel page: https://pluto.adsl24.co.uk:2083
( This is used to manage your hosting, setup your email and all other free options )
Regards,
Ahh yes I see now! I have been using the domain part as my username, doh!
So now I just used my username , ahem, as asked for and the password supplied and I got into the cPanel.
Now, it says that no contact email has been set; So I clicked on the manage email icon and then 'add email account'
but I see that evering after the @ is my domain name, and what I would like to use in front of the @ as also after it so it would make my email address look untidy. ie xyz123@xyz123.adsl24.co.uk
Is there anyway it can be edited?
Thanks
Nope thats how we create them so we can identify accounts to customers.
