View Full Version : Default email not receiving incoming mail

I'm on my way in to ADSL24 from Pipex and in advance of migration next week thought I'd do some testing with my new ADSL24 email address. I logged into web mail OK and sent an email out to my old email address. It arrived OK, but when I replied back to my new default ADSL24 email address I got a delivery error:

"550-"The recipient cannot be verified. Please check all recipients
of this 550 message to verify they are valid." (in reply to RCPT TO
command)"

I then created a new mailbox in ADSL24 and repeated the test and had no problem replying.

Can anyone advise why it is that my default address apparently doesn't receive email, but can send it?

Default addresses are set to fail as standard.

Therefore, create a new email account and all should be fine.
