speed recuctions!

ok latly i have being seeing a reduction in my speed i used to get upt to 6mbs on the speed test bt latly i have being getting somwhere nearer 4mb i know my line is capable of better than this and was wondering why this problem may be occuring thanks. This 4mbs has being constant throught the day even at time like 7 in the morning i still have being getting the same 4mbs and as low as 2mbs during 6pm bt i can maybe understand this as it is peak times. any help would be appreciated thks rob

this was a speed test i took at 6pm when i did this i was on pipe 5 which had an expected performance of 7.2mbs thanks

You really need to publish your router stats - attenuation, SNR & sync - for James & Co. to be able to make some assessment of the problem.

Also please do a speedtest @ www.speedtester.bt.com and let us know the result.

The pipe status showing expect speed of 7.2Mb is only applicable if your line is connected at teh full 8128 (8Mb) SYNC so if if's not then this is the problem...
