hi i have been with adsl24 for 6 months and very happy. today i bought a new laptop with vista op and i connected up to the net and it was really slow. i am on the max pay plan and my profile as usually been 3424, but now i an just getting 1728 synch speed, thanks.

This isn't related to the laptop. It simply means your line to the exchange has not been able to SYNC at the speed it normally does. Most likely it will cure itself, but if not, try the router in the BT test socket.
