Just lookin' at the prices..

Vista Ultimate 32-Bit Edition DVD (OEM) approx £120
Vista Ultimate 64-Bit Edition DVD (OEM) approx £120

Vista Ultimate 32-Bit & 64-Bit Upgrade Edition DVD (Retail) approx £210
Vista Ultimate 32-Bit & 64-Bit Edition DVD (Retail) approx £320

The upgrade still seems a bit expensive compared to the OEM version but then if your getting the 64 bit version for FREE aswell as the retail box and FREE microsoft support its easily the best 'value' option

thanks for this interesting find!! :D

Something similar happened with an Upgrade disk for Office a few years back, apparently you could install the full version by inserting the upgrade disk and when prompted, pointing it to a file location on itself, I think.

I take it I cannot get the DVD for the 64 bit version, for the nominal fee as the Vista upgrade pack suggests, and install this over my 32 bit version which used this clean install workaround?

To go 53 bit I would have to buy a full 64 bit verison? Is is worth it? Thanks
