My speed has dropped big time from just under 2mb on average to just under half a meg.
Been told there may be noise on my line but nother has changed my end so I am waiting to hear what ADSL24 are/can do about it....getting quite annoyed.
I have tried a different router, changed the microfilter but no different.
Got the following from the speed tests
Bt Speed Test Result
The IP address discovered on the network associated with your telephone number:xxxxx, did not match the one we have logged from this browser/connection. Please check your telephone number and try again. If problem persists please contact your CP.
Speed Test from bbmax

Also quite odd when looking at the adsl24 max line report

I thought this would happen everytime the router was powered off?
Have changed router and then put old one back and turned off quite a few times so expected to see more sync's?

Only if there is a change in sync speed - or actually I think, a change in the IP profile is there an entry - not just the router being tuned on/off

well looking at the last few sync's seems like the beginning of the year something changed on the sync and it has not been the same since :(

It sounds like the database that the speedtester uses still has a reference to you old ISP's IP address that you used maybe?
Fluctuating sync rates like this tend to be an indicator of a poor line/interference etc. somewhere. Possibly internal to the house (standard advice to start with, plug router into test socket if there is one and see if that helps or not), possibly external.
Which makes them frustrating things to resolve, as the ISP has no direct control over this, they have to prod BT.

i would say its external as nothing has changed internally and I have done all the tests I can do......be nice for ADSL24 to at least let me know they have spoke with BT, not heard nothing since thursday 3rd jan.
The problem here again is to do with noise on the line. We can only advise you on what to do with these issues, and how to diagnose them. If your SYNC speed is 800 kbps (regardless of it's previous speed), then at that particular time, the line is only capable of 800 kbps. Your max reports show the speed at which your line is connecting to the exchange at, which is out of our control. If you can plug into the BT test socket, and have tried a new filter, and posted the line stats to us whilst in this test socket, we can analyse and see where the problem is (I will go check the ticket now as you have probably already done this :)).
It's only been a few days waiting response for a ticket reply. On some occasions we do get busy - this is to do with the Christmas backlog! Any urgent issues shuld always be reported over the phone as that is why the lines are open 24/7 :)

BT test is useless at the best of times :( It's a case of keep trying.
