View Full Version : Changing Centrals
How do you you change which Central you are connected to ?
Is it just a case of rebooting the router, but wouldn't this sometimes affect your IP profile ?
Thanks
Yes you have to reboot and take pot luck with which one you get connected to next.

You don't need to reboot your router, just drop your PPP session and then reconnect - for example, the Thomson ST 585v6 has a disconnect button on the Broadband Connection page in its web interface.
just out of interest - once you get on the central you want - will you stay there for ever ??
im stuck on 6 at the mo and rebooted about 5 times - and each time i end up back on 6 ?!?!
How do you tell which you are on?
And how do you see graphs of the centrals?
Thanks

No, you can move about, but it's all just luck really. Turning it off for a little while (a minute?) might be more likely to drop you off and onto another.
