Hi all.

Had an odd problem tonight that makes me think my router might be playing up, but want to double check I'm not looking over anything obvious first.

At just after 8pm tonight (Tuesday) I lost my wireless connection. Both wired PC's worked 100% fine.

First thing I did was log into router from PC and reboot it. Rebooted fine, wired PC's fine, wireless didn't work (although all lights were correctly lit on router)

Next thing I did was pulled the power from the router, waited a minute them rebooted. No luck. Both wired PC's were fine, laptop (tried rebooting etc) simply wouldn't find the signal. Then tried a network test on my PS3 and failed at the first hurdle (obtaining IP address).

I then pulled the power from the router while I ate my dinner and then powered up 40 mins later. Again same problem. All lights are correct on the front of the router but when i try either my PS3 or laptop, nothing (and the wireless light on the router doesn't flash).

Then around 20 mins later the laptop suddenly connected and I checked and my PS3 is now working and the wireless light on the router iis flashing when receiving a signal etc.

Routers been on 24/7 since I became a customer around July 2007. First time anything like this has happened. Was about to box it up and return it as faulty. Trouble is, if I return it and they test it, it will all be working.

Anyone got any ideas as to what was going on please?

thanks

Phil

Maybe there was some thing interfering with the signal?

Unless it happens again I wouldn't worry about it
