Mark,

The order was put back through to BT a few days ago as the initial order failed as BT said your line was already ceased. We should have a reply soon... like you say... that's BT for you.

James

Just after I got my MAC from my ISP my speeds dropped. I contact them but they basically said " me no wanna know, you're moving, Goodbye".
They put it in more technical terms but I got the message.

I'm migrating soon and all this week there have been BT vans up and down the road working on the lines and my line has gone off a few times. I hope BT have finished their work by the time I'm connected. I spoke to one of the guys and he said they are constantly patching up a dilapidated network.

Hi All.

I will be migrating next month, would be earlier, but BT want £45 for the crappy HUB that sent but i never used, i currently use BT Voyager 2500v unlocked which i did myself from a file i found in the net.. I has never let me down. see my line stats below

Line Mode G.DMT Line State Show Time
Latency Type Fast Line Up Time 15:13:15:24
Line Coding Trellis On Line Up Count 1

Statistics Downstream Upstream
Line Rate 8128 Kbps 448 Kbps
Noise Margin 13.1 dB 25.0 dB
Line Attenuation 13.0 dB 6.0 dB
Output Power 15.8 dBm 12.3 dBm

I'm a member of DSL Zone under the same name and found James very helpful over there and recently here for my brother when recently joined ADSL24 who was not very technically minded about internet things.

All i can say is roll on 30 day so i can leave behind BT's crappy CS and enjoy british support again..

Thanks
Stew..

It is aggravating when BT can't get their act together.

They are so big you wonder sometimes if the left hand knows what the right hand is doing.
