The big 32" monitor is actually due to go up on the wall. It's job is to monitor all our network and servers.

We've got one of those at work. Well, actually ours is a 51" plasma screen (cue "mine's bigger than yours").
It extremely useful! We use a windows script to switch between 5 different monitoring screens on a timed cycle.

Looks like those blinds are still letting in a dangerous amount of sunlight . A decent pair of blackout curtains would sort that out for you :D.

dammnit,,,, where are the AOL cd's for coasters? where is the box of blank DVD's.... whare are the stack of scrapped diskes all over the place.... Crips packets? chacolate bar wrappers..... old ink cartridges, media cards.... screwdrivers, screws (on a plate lunch was served on weeks ago), I mean, both speakers are UPRIGHT !!!!! where are the post-it notes all over the monitors? what about posters on the wall,,,, there should be at least one, the woman tennis player scratching her ass..... or a monkey sitting on a toilet!!!!
the general scatter of mobile phones/ wallets and keys, i approve, but come on, this is just a half arsed attempt at a working desk!!!!
it is the first time i feel let down by ADSL24 :(
ah come on smarty, they are trying .. theres a lovely nest of power cables forming under the desk,
and several multi gang sockets - more than likely chained together.
Probably just been tarted up a bit for JamesL [and our] benefit as he has only recently joined.
It just needs to be given some time ;)
You should see it this afternoon O_O

sadly mine beats that however im not going to incriminate myself and post a pic lets just say 2 pcs and 2 screens plus laptop ,speakers router , external HD box plus printer the same amount of clutter in frount of screen and you dont want to know about dvds LOL and no sides on my pc either in fact 2 of the HDs from it are even on the desk cos i carnt be bothered to fit them properly

busted..... lol.... not too hard to spot..
Well I think we should start a theme here....I'm not too proud to post my nice tidy desk!
Note the abundance of objects and duplications, (i.e. 2 CD Marker pens, 2 mini torches). This is standard practice, so you can always find at least one of the items you're looking for!! :D

This is actually relatively tidy compared to it's usual state! Obviously, it was taken just after breakfast as can be noted by the empty cereal bowl. :o

hey Tiffer... just a few points i must make.....
1 psycologists will have a fine day debating why every pen and evey item on your desk has to be lined up in the same direction... lol....
2, you think its a really wise desision to leave the phone number of your bank on your desk.... not a massive security risk, but the crackers among us at least know who you bank with....
3... at last !!! a desk that looks well used!!! none of these sterile wouldent look out of place in a hospital efforts...
3, your DVD's... the edges look a bit errrr, lets find the word... 'rough' cut on those covers,,,,,, are they ligit copies? lmao....
4, ... why are those sticks of ram not in the PC????
but overall you get my aproval

Because I took out the two Cosair 1Gb sticks you see and replaced them with two 2Gb sticks to give me 4Gb of Ram..tried to get them to work together for ^Gb total but had major issues, but my system is now speedy and stable with the 4Gb. Just don't know what I'm gonna do with the spare ones yet!

Well spotted my man! Its from some junk mail they sent me offering their extended warranty or whatever it's called. Needless to say I didn't bother.
Charmers your desk looks far too tidy to actually be being put to some serious use!! ...or maybe you have a secret cleaner.... :D

LOL....My recently purchased laptop was from PC World, but I have always built all my own desktop systems. I have three dekstops, by the way, all networked together and controlled by a KVM switch. The newest model always pushes the older model "down the line" so to speak and the oldest one (if I end up with more than 3) will either get donated to friends, family or charity!

Now come on Smartybones, you should be able to find it on that nice clean desk of yours! :D LOL
