I wondered - is it possible to change which pipe you are on?

I ask because at the mo they all seem fairley hammered except C4 & I am on C5.

Or is it done auto?

i'm under the impression that restarting your router is a bad thing on ADSL-Max lines as BT will see it as an involuntarily dropped connection. Bt may increase your SNR which will lower your IP profile and give you slower speeds.

Disconnect/Reconnect PPP (via the the routers interface) is a much more graceful way of changing central and your DSL line remains sync'd so BT don't get involved.

It'd be nice if someone could verify this :)

Yes, rebooting the router is not the way to do it (unless your router does not have a Disconnect/reconnect button on its web interface). Wherever possible, use the buttons on the web interface of the router to dis/re-connect
