I have altered my home page to ADSL24 by clicking the home button and altering it there, and also on Tools and Internet Options. But when I open IE it still opens up at my old Home Page.
How can I alter it so when IE opens it opens with ADSL24.:(
Go to Control panel, click on internet options and enter http://www.adsl24.co.uk/ into the home page box. Job done.
You can automatically open up numerous pages with additional links, first priority at the top.

Hi Racy
Use this LINK (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/howto/customizing/prsonalizehmpg.mspx) to set your home page.

I've also tried that cliff too. Also tried clicking on home page and add or remove, I remove the home page I dont want, and then reset it to adsl24, but alas that doesn't work either.
I never had any problem with IE6 but IE7 cannot seem to do.
Try un-installing any old addon toolbars, ie google, msn, yahoo they have caused many problems for IE7 users.
You can then download and re-install them if you want them back.
The latest versions of these toolbars work ok with IE7 but my advise is don't.
Start / Control Panel / Add Or Remove Programs / search the list for toolbars and remove.

Its not too much of a problem I still get adsl24 on clicking the home button, just peevs me off a bit seeing tiscali appear on the my screen, want to thump it.:)
Theres me thinking you visited some dubios sites:D
After you deleted the unwanted addresses and slapped in the new one, did you hit the apply key? before exiting or Use Current.
If so get rid of the cookies and malware, just found Kaperski today. Tools, Internet Options, Browsing History this will remove any passwords etc.
Just done it on this one:eek: except goes to search live even though not the first priority search and never entered since the install of XP64 the other week.
Not heard of ISPs doing it but it's possible there's something in your Registry making Tiscali your home page. If you're happy hacking the Registry do a search for the string 'Tiscali' in there and take appropriate action. If you're not happy messing with the Registry, leave well alone, though! ;)
Ircsum.

Hi Racy
Have you thought of using Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/)as your browser.
I know this does not sort out your present problem, but you can use both at the same time.
With firefox you can tab browse(have multiple pages to different web sites open at the same time). you will have the option when you install firefox to transfer your bookmarks from IE6/7 to firefox.
Cliff:)
I think the problem could be a spyware program that you have set to your old home page and i thinks it is trying to be hijacked ie xsoft ,spysweeper programs like that check them out first si740
I'm with ircsum on this. If you used an installer/wizard type thing when you set up with T**cali, it is not unusual for them to add some of their "branding" to IE, as an added "feature". The registry would be the normal place to hide things such as that. Firefox is good, but I found it had a memory leak on my laptop, seems fine on this PC though.
