I've found that while at work, I can't access
https://pluto.adsl24.co.uk:[anyport]
Which effectively means I can't do quite a few things on the ADSL24 website. Including checking my mail.
Does anyone know anyway around this? Or will I have to resort to using Enta Mail?
Cheers
Dave

I actually work for the IT department. I guess I'll ask.
May have to forward or something.
I also work for an IT Dept and my solution to you would be to try and use www.mail2web.com
Click the link to their advanced options
servername / ip address should be
mail.yourusername.adsl24.co.uk
userid / login name
the full email address e.g. if you had an email account called test_email then it would be test_email@yourusername.adsl24.co.uk
password
obviously the password for the email account
and obviously choose pop3.
If your IT dept have blocked www.mail2web.com then I'm not sure what else you can do.
I think these are two other similar services that you could try and use. I've never used them so don't know how good these two are:-
http://www.xs2mail.com/?country=gb
and
http://www.netmymail.com/v3/
hope this helps
Cecil.

You need to speak to your friendly neighbourhood firewall admin and ask him to open the necessary ports outbound to the ADSL24 IP address. At this point beer bribes are useful (they always work when people ask me anyway) and an explanation of why you need to be doing this in work time might also be useful (but that depends on the admin) ;)

That option is great! Didn't need to do advanced settings or anything.
Cheers!
