To all ex "members" out there:

I posted a message on their forum highlighting the lies that I had received from customker services. All along I was told that my exchange would not support datastream, however when I migrated to ADSL24 I did a tracert and discovered that I am now on datastream! I was also told that congestion on the network was causing my really low speeds (since I have been a customer of ADSL24 my speeds have been excellent).

Surprise, surprise - my post was deleted and I have now been banned from their forums. I notice that a few others have had the same treatment.

Some might say that the truth hurts....

Not that I ever need to go back there ever again, in my opinion, this ISP is miles and miles ahead. :)

I have a backup dialup with Tiscali and sometimes have a look on their forums. I'll go and see what's up.

My old email address is still active and I can get back in too. But yea they dont like it if you have something to say about them thats for sure, I've had posts and threads deleted.

I cant be bothered with them now, not now this is so good.:)

I am gobsmacked you even got through to Customer Services! Last time i tried the batteries went dead after 53 mins and it was in their favour.
Was with Lineone before they were bought out by Tiscali in dial up days, cant complain offered a decent service but probably drastically different to the ADSL service. Still got the spam mail account only holds 2000.

Though nowhere near as bad as Pipex Homecall who stole my phone line from Tiscali- yes! Things must be bad they chase payment as many as 8 times a day but will not provide an up to date final bill, just content in asking are you able to reinstate the standing order so they can charge what they want. "Send me a final bill and i can be done with you and your company once and for all." Still waiting.

There are some other forums like that too, especially a certain ratings one, scratch my back, i'll scratch yours. Nothing untrue, no swearing, i was being polite:D about Biscit, sleezydsl and n..services considering what they had done to me lasy year.

Lineone was good for dialup and so were their forums.

Tiscali was bad bad bad!! I had many complaints deleted and Topics closed,
I said it how it was, and yet I was polite, "usualy" The connection was so bad at times, worser than a 56k dialup. and gaming became totaly unworkable. I was fine untill about november 2006, then they brought in traffic shaping software, and that was it, no downloading big files, to slow. everything just got steadily worse.
and by the time I left them at the end of feb, it was completly useless.

Now when I came here, my speed was back, it was like being on 100 mb compared to my Titscali performance, no more lag, and the game was back on.
I can play online games again, and enjoy pings of around 10-15
Despite the fact that I have a stuck profile on bt and get locked at 2000 kbps, which has no bearing on adsl24, its just a problem with good old BT not getting it sorted. So here I am, and here I will stay, the current climate suits me just fine.

Tiscali are a nightmare, and don't like being reminded of the fact. I find I'm now also banned from from the support forum, although still allowed to post in the discussion one.

Quite honestly, I find it a little depressing going back there these days - the only good news reported nowadays seems to be from people overjoyed at obtaining their MAC code.
