View Full Version : Hi all
Hi everyone, I soon hope to be a member of the adsl24 community just as soon as f2s deign to give us our mac.
Make sure you keep on at them as they legally have to provide it to you (within 5 days I think it is now). Welcome on board :)
Hi RND & welcome to the forums.
Hope there are no problems with getting a MAC.
Ircsum.
Yes they did state 5 working days on the phone. My friend said his process took 2 hours from initial request to completion. That was from freeserve to f2s a few years ago.
Hi RND

Hello.
I was given mine within 24 hrs from Plusnet.
Unfortunately that's the only good thing I can say about them. :p

They only take seconds to generate but many ISP's drag their feet over issuing them. I was one of the lucky ones who got my MAC over the phone instantly (from EFH) but I know of many others that have waited weeks for it!
Hope you get lucky and can join us ASAP :)
Oh, and if they fail to provide your MAC in 5 days then complain to OFCOM ;)

RND - Ring them, tell them you've already submitted an email request for a MAC and that their sales people have agreed that there isn't a better package that they could move you to. After that I got mine within 5 minutes

Hi m8 welcome.
Yes it is, Netgear routers have the option to enable or disable nat. You will find it in the basic settings.
yes ive seen the option, how do you disable dhcp which is also required?

You do not need to disable DHCP (LAN IP SETUP)
Cliff:)
Well ive just had the email with the login info and the activation date. This is probably a noobie question but since we have the info can we start using it even though the stated activation date is 27th?
Also we'd like to have interleaving off please.

As it's a migration then no as it won't be active on our system until the migration day. Some new activations are done early but not migrations.
PM me your username or ADSL phone number and I'll sort out the interleaving for you.
pm sent. so i guess i just have to be patient.
