Ahem, got a mind block here

Due to a major disaster which has hit my winxp system, I have had to do a complete re install. I think it was also due to having vista on the same HD as XP, and I was unable to do a Winxp repair.

Anyway, can someone please remind me how I set up my internet connection using a router for winxp. I have tried but winxp thinks I want PPoE setting and I know it should be PPoA, so what am I doing wrong?

Wouldn't you be better using your router GUI to set it up rather than windows?

What router do you have? ... then someone will be able to advise you further :)

As SC says, don't worry about what XP thinks. It's the router that decides how to connect, etc, and those settings will be saved in the router from before the reinstall.

You may need to tweak your MTU & RWIN in XP - DrTCP is handy for this.
