Unimpressed, but.....

I migrated from Tscali 3 weeks ago and my speeds have dropped form an average of 6 meg to under 2 meg with ADSL24.
My latest speed test says 2347Kbps down 369 up.
BT says IP profile for your line 7000Kbps, DSL connection rate 8096Kbps down 448 up, Actual IP throughput achieved 2880Kbps.
Tiscali were never this slow.
But because ADSL24 do not Traffic shape or Port Block I have done more,and learn t more in 3 weeks than in 1 year with Tiscali.
I am sure my speed problem can be fixed with help from this forum, but if not I am still a happy customer.(77gig so far).

krmid: If you're getting that speed even at quiet times of day (early morning, in my book) then there's something definitely wrong. At such times your throughput should come within half a Megabit of your profile.

I was going to suggest trying the old BT speed tester but I just got a 404 on it, so that's no help. The value of this, if it comes back, is that it bypasses the ISP and therefore any significant discrepancy between it and the new BT speed tester can be attributed to the ISP.

If your early morning speeds are poor despite that healthy profile, then you need to open a ticket with Support as there may be an incorrect entry on Enta's radius server and only they can correct it for you, via Support here.
