View Full Version : It's Today.. I'm excited.........
Today is the day I've been given for my migration/connection to ADSL24.
Assuming BT remove their fingers, can anybody give me any idea how long after it will be before my "BT Order Status" will stop reading "Awaiting Activation" please?
And will my connection fall over (before I enter new details) when the migration is complete?
(I've never migrated broadband before so please excuse "simpleton" question)
Thanks folks.

i was swapped to adsl24 about 2 hours ago and it still reads awaiting activation :D
you will know when its time to swap when your current isp kicks you offline and dosent let you back on. give it 30 mins after that and you should be able to login to adsl24 using the details they provided

But some people have reported being able to use both ISP's for a day or so.
On my activation day I logged in the new details about 9 am but it didn't work, went back to my old ISP and used them.Tried again about lunchtime and it worked so I just stayed there.
Don't rely on what the order says - it's just paperwork that catches up after the event.
It's usual to have an overlap period when you can log into the old or new ISP. Migrations may go through any time from the early hours until evening so it's a matter of trying your new login/pass from time to time over the day. You'll know when it's actually gone through that way, rather than relying on what the order status says.
