Hi there
I migrate today to adsl24. I have a set of 8 IP's.
The second is the router and the other 5 are spread over other computers.
I can connect to the internet but certain sites are not responding.
I can not connect to www.rbsdigital.com or www.bebo.com or www.mac.com or the apple software update utility (Mac OS X 10.4.9).
These are the only sites that I have found to be a problem but there may be more.
Is there a DNS problem or am I doing something wrong?
Rob
******** From ROUTER *********
DNS Secondary IP address is 195.74.113.62
DNS Primary IP address is 195.74.113.58
PPP Gateway IP address is 87.127.229.98
PPP IP address is 87.127.193.201
You haven't given ppl much to go on, there. :)
If you're migrating today, who are you with now? What DNS are you using? What's your MTU set at (router & OS).
All 3 sites open fine for me.
Ircsum.
edit: If it's Aquiss, a couple of their nameservers fell over last night.
Please post a traceroute to each of the failing sites :)
Thanks
James

Unfortunately those results are inconclusive. If I run those same traces in SuSE I get the same results. If I then reboot into Windows and run the traces then the bebo trace completes immediately after 87-127-231-130 (87.127.231.130) and the mac trace fails at exactly the same point as yours which would indicate a firewall setting at the other end.
Are you still unable to access the sites?
I know you're on a Mac but can you clear out any Internet caches, cookies etc and retry please?
robryder - have you tried changing the MTU on your PC (& router) ?
Thanks

Hi i was just wondering if you no an alternative ip address for bebo instead of 207.7.149.50! please write back. also no proxy sites are available and when i type the word bebo in to my computer it automaticly shuts down. thanks
Have you checked your PC for viruses / spyware? No PC should shut down just by typing bebo?
Bebo is at http://208.75.184.160
