Hi,

Just done a speed test and noticed that I am getting around 1.7Mbps, I normally get much better than that!

Checked NOC status and it says that expected performance of my central is 7.2Mbps.

Is this normal at this time of the evening (on a Saturday)? Just wondered in case there was a problem with my line.

Not really, might just be one of those things. ADSL is not a guaranteed throughput service and BT quote any speed from 400 Kbps to 7150 Kbps is "within" the service specification. I don't agree, but BT won't accept faults because of this!

As usual, a very prompt reply there James - can't get much better support than that :)

As you say, it must be just a very busy time, I bet the whole world and his / her dog are playing online games this evening!
