Hi

I've lost the 'Hibernate' option from the Vista start button on my laptop.

I tried 'powercfg -h on' to no avail.

I've checked that the hibernation file still exists.

In the power options I have 'Hibernate' against the start menu power button setting.

Any ideas?

Googled it?
I just did and found this:

The 2nd option looks promising

Any driver updates lately? This can mess things up is the hardware/driver isn't (or Windows thinks it isn't) compatible with the hibernation option.

Sorted. Turns out it was because Hybrid sleep was enabled.

Funny, I don't recall turning it back on, perhaps one of the recent Windows updates turned it back on for me

Thanks for your replies.
