View Full Version : IE 8 beta 2 is now out
New beta 2 has been released and does seem faster in both loading the program and loading pages.
If your interested in seeing what the next version of IE will be like head to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/beta/default.aspx

hmmmm,,,, if ie 7 is anything to go by, and in my opinion still should be in beta, stay away from this..... it will all end in tears....

Agreed...anyone got any epic fails on standards compliance tests yet? :D
Had no issues with it so far and I like the improvements. Having said that its prolly best only to install it if you know what your doing.

I have found it to be very good, even faster than IE7. And i love the accelerators idea.
Only problem I have is with pogo website. Causes an error when trying to close a game window
report it to ms and hopefully theyl fix it for you.
Also don't forget you can view each site in IE7 mode to ensure that sites not working correctly on the Beta 2 version can still be used correctly :)

I'm not really sure why people bitch about IE7 so much. It is considerably better than IE6 and without anywhere near as many 'quirks' from a webdesign point of view.
Even FF3, Safari and Opera have their problems and they are all supposed to be better. I use them all to test sites I'm building.

Error occurs in compatibility mode.
Doing more checking it looks like a java error. Happened on another site as well
uninstall and install latest java

I have already tried that, and tried installing a beta version of java. Still having the same problem.
It is not just me, loads of people across the net are having the same problem
