That's rather jolly :D

I've noticed since joining ADSL24 Centrals get jumped on an almost daily basis, whereas this occurred far less frequently with Falconnet.

If you mean on their own (i.e without your intervention) that can only be down to the line causing disconnections
... seeing as Falconnet is (was?) just another Enta reseller.

Are your SNR Margin stats doing anything odd at the time, such as dropping very low?

And, mostly for the attention of James, out of interest what are these unlisted gateways currently used for:

C? | 84.45.242.66 | a.dsl.enta.net (ash)
C? | 87.127.229.4 | g.dsl.enta.net (ginkgo)
C? | 87.127.229.5 | h.dsl.enta.net (hazel)
C? | 87.127.229.9 | q.dsl.enta.net (quince)

[my choice of tree names, as i miss the gateway's being referred to in this way ;)]

Yes, I did mean without my intervention, just an observation.

Probably a coincidence that since joining ADSL 24 my line has suddenly started causing disconnections.

As for SNR Margin Stats, I think now would be an appropriate time to mention that I am a total thicko where this stuff is concerned, although just before joining ADSL24 I did take a 'before and after' reading of my router stats, nothing untoward there, afaik, although I will double check the SNR thing next time.

Cheers :)

Q is 21CN/WBC
G is possibly MLPPP

The others VPN, PWAN and L2TP, but Enta/Steve haven't released what each one is specifically.

Thanks for that Mike, slightly less in the dark now ;)

Hi WS,

Yeah just keep an eye on it, If the SNR Margin is below 6dB your likely to have a lot more disconnections - dependant on the router your using, as some are better at holding on to low margin lines than others.
