Given the latest problems with IE, make sure you update as soon as possible

Reformatted drives, favourites imported to IE and ok.
Imported settings etc through Firefox 3.05 and nothing appears in bookmarks, where are they normally stored?

I can recommend Foxmarks which sycronises your bookmarks and passwords online.

Ta RND, registered etc but it has only transfered the few existing bookmarks in Firefox i individually slapped in, there are 100's in IE i need to get across.
Never had this prob before, may be if i installed an earlier Firefox version?

No way in Foxmark options to access where Favourites are stored?- backed up on external drive with rest of needed stuff, plus actually in documents and settings which firefox and foxmark wont import.

You will need to use firefox's bookmark manager to import IE's favorites then you can use foxmarks to sync them.

Foxmarks is good, especially if you need to synchronise bookmarks across computers :D

If you've made a backup of old bookmarks then you should be able to restore them.

Firefox can normlly auto-save bookmarks on your local disk in a folder like
C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\(yourprofile)\bookma rkbackups with file type *.json

This might help http://kb.mozillazine.org/Lost_bookmarks_after_Firefox_3_upgrade

Excellent, will give it a try when i have some time.
IE 32 bit was not working but 64 bit was plus some other major problems. Think Sammy Spinpoint SATA on its way out and loaded XP64 on a 2nd Hitachi SATA, now cant import Outlook Express settings inc addresses on other hard drive in to this one running Outlook Express. Incidently best email proggy found but last few updates wont run in 64 bit is Incredimail, dont like Thunderbird.
