Been having problem with downloading from rapidshare.com for a few months now, not sure what it is - it seems like a delayed routed through Entanet to rapidshare systems.

I'll try and explain:

The following picture indicates my download speed at 191kbps...
However the 191kbps is only coming into my download cache ever 5 seconds or so, see the network graph below

so therefore the download which states 8min to completion takes something like 40mins

its basically got LAG!

however the ping of rapidshare servers is ok.

Can anyone explain this???? or reproduce this?

ive tried multiple machines/browsers/OS/routers but on the same connection.

My works connection doesn't have this problem!

Tried changing download mirror or are you using the free version? Rapidshare is always fine for everyone I know that uses it on an entanet connection.

Is it only rapidshare which shows activity like that, or all downloads that kinda size?

Hi not much help i know but i use rapidshare on a daily basis and have never seen a reaction like that.I have certainley never been hampered getting to rapidshare and use it to verify my line throughput.

Could it perhaps be your virus checker or firewall getting in the way. ??? or are you using wireless ??? just some ideas that perhaps could be causing that response.

I've been having the same problem for months. I don't use Rapidshare (free version) much but whenever I do it's always download-pause-download-pause...

Same here, but only since speed problems. But Im with pipex right now, my activation date is this coming tuesday, so Ill post back once Im switched over.

(for ref, my recent throughput is flicking between 30-50kiloBYTES, when my speeds used to be around the 400-500 mark i had no problem)
