I've just started my website and I was looking at the stats.

What I'm confused about is, the difference between:

Unique visitors
Number of visits
Pages
Hits
Bandwidth

Which one actually tells me how many people have visited my website? Or if they all mean that - what's the difference?!?!?!

Cheers

Hi

I think these mean the following:-

Unique visitors - different ip addresses that have connected or contacted your site.

Number of visits - I think this is the total number of visits from everyone (unless it relates to the unique visitors)
Pages - number of pages on your site
Hits - no of times a website or page has been viewed
Bandwidth - amount of available monthly usage which is allowed for connections to your site.

If I'm wrong hopefully someone will correct me.

cecil.
