ADSL24 have no control over how often your router resyncs. If you're going to blame anyone, blame BT.

Fault logged with BT @ 5pm .....

I assume you've tried connecting your router to the test socket at the back of the master socket using a new filter.

Your problems won't be solved by goint to any provider unfortunately as you have a line issue which will always be present as it happens before you reach the ISP's network. Let's see what support can do...

adsl24 have helped me very well in dealing with a bt line issue over the past few weeks, as james said, no matter if you change providers the line issue will remain.
my particular issue has been on my line since august... and fingers crossed looks to be fixed. this is something the support of my previous provider (aquiss) couldnt be bothered to help with.

thanks to adsl24!

Support and BT are currently looking into my issue. They're now suggesting it's an issue internal to my flat (tho nothing's changed recently). They can send a BT engineer, but then that costs £180 if they think they find something. Not willing to risk 180 when this issue showed up on its own from one day to the next.

I used to get 7-8 mbits consistent... now I'm only getting 500k.

SlowNet - what profile did the BT speedtest show? Recently my profile got stuck at 500kbps after BT had done some work at the exchange whereas it is normally 7150. Took Enta support a while to get BT to fix it but they did in the end.

Well i've to ring back @ 9:30 for an update so lets hope its the line and nothing else , and thanks for the positives guys really appreiciated i'll tell ya .... but changing isp's is on the cards as i think enta has shot the bolt lads oversubscribed and all but i did look @ titan bb on dsl zone and there enta re-sellers aswell and if you compare the comments on there service as opposed to ADSL24... well i'll let you decide on that one.

Have a look ... http://www.dslzoneuk.net/isp_ratings_comments.php?isp=106 TITAN Reviews

i really hope and pray that ADSL24 sort this out as i don't really want to move again as im sure a lot of you don't but if the price goes up as per speculation in recent post by James i gotta move for the cap sake im afraid ... sorry Jameses

Check the dates on those reviews.. Titan gets fewer reviews and doesn't seem to be subject to the same rants against enta - even though they will be suffering exactly the same issues, so you can't easily compare them.

If you compare the reviews that are purely about the ISP service, they're about equal.

i know Tony but if they were reciving a crap service there would be a lot more posts woul'nt they

Or just fewer users. I don't see anyone posting they've received crap service from adsl24 either, just stuff about contention and speeds, which is down to enta to sort out.. a rant about the new off peak hours, which again is enta.

If you really want to get away from those kinds of issues, switch to a non-enta ISP. Switching between them doesn't make a lot of sense unless you have a real issue with adsl24 itself.

Well lets hope they do tony cos like i say i don't relish the thought of moving on again :(

Meh. Monthly contracts.. compared to what it used to be like it's cake (you used to have to do a cease/reprovide to do anything and that meant a couple of days downtime every move).

It's a pain for me as I have multiple static IPs, ipv6 routing issues to sort out, VPN, DNS... it's a days work to make sure everything still works afterwards.

OTOH for the average person on a single NAT router with a PC behind it, it's not really that complex.

Personally I'll wait to see what the new year brings.

Ghostrider........your move to another Enta reseller will not make you immune from the problems you are experiencing.
I have read that other people with non-Enta ISP's are having similar problems. While you are on the BT IP Stream, you will still run into these types of problems. other choice is LLU

Still a pain thou Tony, some times you just can't be bothered and just put up with it you know , thats me i just go with the flow , but BT know the exchange here is not up to the job but as with anything BT do , they will not own up to it will they??
