Last night I set a download to start at 10.30pm this would normally take 2 hours, when I looked at it at 8.30am next day it still had 13 hours to go with a speed of 49kbs.

This is not acceptable I don’t know who is to blame? But somebody needs to sort this problem out quickly

From the tone of your email I am assuming that you believe the problem to be within the ADSL24 / Entanet network?

What were you downloading and from what site?

Could the issue be at the other end? i.e the bottleneck was on the server / network you were downloading from?

The speed of any download is only as fast as the slowest part of the network.

Well it could be with BT to lol, no I was not using a site to download from I would expect to get 700+kbs from this source.

Maybe I have been a bad lad so Santa is punishing me

You should try Asus download servers, I can never get above 10kb/s from them!

Can you firstly please post your routers ADSL line stats as well as a result from http://speedtester.bt.com as without this it is impossible to judge where the problem may lie!
