View Full Version : ADSL 24's Support Numbers Not Working?
Just tried to phone support on 01457 6000 25 and also 01457 6000 24 and both numbers didn't work. My mobile (Three) said the numbers didn't exist and my Land line (Sky Talk) said the same.
Can anyone else get through?

Same here, and I've tried calling them as I can't get onto my account, it just says my user/pass are incorrect, even though I know they aren't!

Glad it's just not me. I phoned as my internet went down for about 20 minutes ago. It's cured itself now though.
Just tried logging into my account it also says my username and password are incorrect.
Very strange that both my mobile and land line provider think the numbers don't even exist and your phone provider think the same and we can't log in to our accounts. Lets hope something bad isn't happening.
This (http://noc.enta.net/?p=396) may explain your net being funny. I also can't login to my account at my moment so I assume something major is up with Enta's system, though since I assume it affects everyone I'm sure it'll be fixed fast enough.

Thanks. That wouldn't explain why ADSL 24's phone numbers no longer exist though. Can't understand what would cause that.

Same problems here. My connection went on its knees for about 20 mins. Can't log in to my ADSL 24 account, but my net connection is up to it's normal speed now.
Yes - I reckon that London to Manchester outage has hit us. I had a brief e-mailing glitch at the time. James has now added the news and a link to that enta report on our forum in the Service Status section. ADSL24's base is in the Manchester area, so is there anyway the glitch in the system was one that affected normal 'phones, too? I've had times when numbers that I know exist have been reported as not existing simply because the line was down at the exchange (rather than at the end user's premises) and so it couldn't be found.
EDIT..... disregard this bit of my post "Also, in my list of local STD codes 01457 6xxx isn't being shown. There's 01457 5xxx, 7xxx & 8xxx but no 6xxx. Doesn't mean the 6xxx range isn't being used, though. Just wondering, though, if the contact number being given is correct." I've just found an 01457xxxx which could include the 6xxx range of numbers - but it's not geographically where I was looking for!
Weren't these numbers ones that James said were routed over VoIP? If they're assigned to a VoIP provider, particularly if assigned recently, that would explain their omission or unusual listing, and a fibre cut - even somewhere different from the geographical location of the area code - could explain the inability to contact it.
Cheers, Jas88. That's why those numbers seemed familiar! I thought I'd seen a post recently in which James mentioned them. With ADSL24 being based in the Manchester area then I suppose any VOIP calls being routed to them might have gone down in that brief Manchester outage. So folk calling about that outage at that time wouldn't get through. Has anyone tried to see if those numbers work now?
