View Full Version : Are all Enta resellers equal?

This is a thread from TBB were 12eason is in the process of moving from ADSL24 to TitanADSL, both Enta resellers. He is able to swap between both accounts and compare the speeds etc.

Now bearing in mind he is on the same node regardless, his test results make very interesting reading!

Basically if he swaps to his Titan account he gets 2 meg higher speeds at the same time than if using the ADS24 account - how can this be?

Are all resellers being treated equally when the ALT kicks in, or do some get a higher priority than others?

Per user throttling? Per reseller throttling?

Maybe James can speak to Enta and get a definitive answer as to what has really caused this phenomenon?

Something is defiantly not right here and I am starting to get the feeling that the wool is being well and truly being pulled over our eyes, including maybe ADSL24s as well?

yep, I saw that a few days ago to. No idea why one account is slow while one is faster. :o

He thinks later in the thread it's because his old account on ADSL24 has been put on the testing blacklist for heavy use (80GB off peak average), while his new titan account has a 'clean slate' with regards the ellacoya/ALT throttling.

If so, it gives an interesting idea of how much extra throttling 80GB+ users can expect offpeak.

I for one will certainly be looking forward to seeing what they have to say about it. Will it be a clearly defined and transparent reason or a woolly excuse though? :rolleyes:

It all looks like a bit of a mess to be honest and Enta are not being transparent at all.
