View Full Version : A simple question
Is ADSL24 still looking at alternative suppliers to Entanet?
It seems that some other resellers are still doing so, and with the numbers of unhappy customers that ADSL24, as well as other resellers seem to have, it may well be the best alternative to watching more leave if the poor service continues.
Would James like to comment on this? I was directing my question at ADSL24 staff.
Its been mentioned in other threads... James has mentioned that he's always keeping his options open, but for now they're sticking with Enta.

Yes, it's still being looked at but nothing is quick and there are no current other wholesalers who can match anywhere close to what enta offer in their packages now. Well, they do, but the monthly prices would be over double what you pay now which is obviously not going to work. Also, due to the amount of customers we have and due to the amount of monthly bandwidth customers consume in total the new wholesale ISP would have to invest significantly with at least 1x622Mb central and probably some 155's too which cost millions and can take months - so that their network could sustain our current customers
Thanks for the reply James.
I do think your comment

is likely to get a raised eyebrow or two from those who are suffering serious lack of download speeds, though.
Of course, but generally if people pay for any service more then they will receive faster download speeds. The way the bandwidth and line rental increases have rocketed this past year means that the current (old) packages were no longer viable and to try and provide a service with plenty of allowance and top speeds for a reasonable price just can't be offered in today's market. It's a hard pill to swallow but ultimately that's where the ISP market is currently at.
