View Full Version : 99% usage of docklands node peak time?
Just done a check and the dockland is at 99% at 19:46? Problem or just everyone decided to download at same time? :s

seems docklands is consistently the busiest central, altho this could be because i only check when i'm getting poor speeds.;)
what i'd really like to know is this...
If a central is congested, will a line syncing at 5mb give the same performance as a line syncing at 20mb?
For instance, i'm getting ~200KB/s after 9pm on weeknights. This is 40% of my normal 500KB/s speed. Is a 20mb line user getting 40% of their speed, ie 800KB/s or are they also capped @ 200KB/s?

The Edinburgh node is normally the busiest.

Everyone is capped at the same speed (unless they are a heavy user). Incidentally, the IPSC interconnects are not used by ADSL2+ customers, so the maximum anyone's sync speed would be is 8128 kbps.

Good to see we're using the word CAPPED now instead of ALT.

thanks tboorman, nice to know it's a level playing field for those with poor sync speeds :-)
