I've been an ADSL24 customer since late February, to begin with I was impressed - user tools are great, compared to the complete lack of data my old ISP (at my old house!) used to give, connection and speed were good considering I'm miles from the exchange.

Had an email from enta on the 16th March to say that BT had upgraded my local exchange (Yeovil) to 21CN and I was now on entanets "next geneation network". Since then I've been having major issues connecting. Prior to the 16th, my router was staying connected fine for days at a time, no problems, but on the 16th it started dropping out every few minutes (or even seconds!). The few occasions it did stay up a few hours, it was able to sync at the normal speed of ~2200kbps up and ~800 down, but the internet was painfully slow with some sites such as facebook just timing out. On a handful of occasions it synced at ~3200kbps but dropped out a few seconds later.

On Saturday evening it dropped off and failed to even pick up an ADSL line until today, when its synced at 285kbps down and 888 up! BT speed tester results:

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Your DSL connection rate: 285 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 888 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 135 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 103 kbps

Router stats say:
Operation Data
Noise Margin Upstream Downstream
29 dB 9 dB

Attenuation
62 dB --- dB

I've had a nose at various troubleshooting pages, and I'm using the BT test socket at the moment. Raised a ticket Sunday evening, but nothing heard back yet. Is there anything else I can try to make sure its nothing wrong in my router (-s, I've tried two - a USR9106 and a Belkin FD7634, both at latest firmware) config? I'm a tad wary about BT checking the line as I paid £120 in Feb to have it installed (new connection), so don't really want to shell out more money in case they say there's nowt wrong with it!

...long first post. Hi :D

I would give the ADSL24 support line a call and prod them. Those stats posted are pretty awful and if that is from your test socket then it suggests a problem further down the line. You will no doubt have some line tests carried out before an engineer has to make a visit, with any luck they will find the problem then.
