Not sure if this is the most appropriate section but I thought I would post this in case anyone else thought it would be useful to them.

EDIT: I've just noticed nickbro has also posted a couple of great usage / status gadgets here (http://adsl24.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=6900).

I've customised the excellent minibrowser sidebar gadget to display my interconnect status dial (Peterborough) and automatically refresh it every 5 minutes. I've also sorted out all the zooming and sizing so it fits quite nicely with no control bars. All settings have been saved as default within the gadget. Feel free to give it a go.

You can download the v2 customised gadget here (http://www.mediafire.com/?tndawzzmd5q).

To change the status dial to an alternative interconnect follow these simple steps:

1) Right click on your interconnect status dial here (http://noc.enta.net/ipsc-interconnect-status/) (IPSC) or here (http://noc.enta.net/21cn-interconnect-status/) (21CN) and copy the image location

2) Rename 'minibrowser068_ADSL24.gadget' to 'minibrowser068_ADSL24.zip'

3) Open the zip and open file 'MBState.js' in the 'js' directory in notepad

4) Replace 'http://noc.enta.net/graphs/peterborough.png' with the address of your interconnect status dial

5) Save the file and ensure it is saved back into the zip overwriting the existing file

6) Rename 'minibrowser068_ADSL24.zip' back to 'minibrowser068_ADSL24.gadget' and double click to install

Alternatively you can enable the address bar and button bar within minibrowser options, paste your interconnect status dial link into the address bar and set it as your homepage, and then finally disable the address and button bars.

Hope you like it :)

Thanks must also go to Eduardo Mancero who wrote minibrowser (http://www.minibrowser.info).

v2 uploaded which refreshes the dial image every 5 minutes instead of every 60 seconds. Reason being Enta only update the image every 5 minutes anyway.

This looks great though was wondering if there would be any way I could modify this to work in Ubuntu, possibly as a screenlet that I could integrate in to the desktop?

This is a Vista / Win7 sidebar gadget so I doubt it.

Brilliant looking gadget but I can't get it to appear whether I click on it directly and install or go through the gadget gallery (where it doesn't even appear as an option).

I'm using Windows 7, any ideas?

Edit rebooted and some how got contact. I'm just trying to resize it so it looks like yours now.

It shouldn't need any resizing as I've made all the required changes and saved the settings as default. Could you post a screen snip?

I have just this second fixed it. :$ Sorry:(
After faffing with uninstalling installing rebooting etc. Doubtless connected with me not opening the zip in explorer (essential I have discovered if I wanted to save faraday as my location. Rather than it opening with a third party automaticcy zip program thingy.:$

Cool Gadget by the way:D

It was showing only a quarter of the dial. So I changed the setting to 191x191 215x215.
