Hi - my activation date is 23/04/07 (tomorrow) yay!
Do I have to wait until tomorrow to login or is there a chance it will work tonight?
I know i'm probably being impatient, as i'm fed up with having my bandwidth throtted by tiscali.
cheers, Doc :)

Migrations on a Sunday are as rare as rocking horse droppings. It will happen sometime tomorrow between 8 and 8 but we can't be more specific than that.
Welcome anyway and if you have any problems please get in touch.

Hello Dr.
I was able to connect at lunchtime on the day of activation but it could be anytime.
Also note that just because your Tiscali is still working, it doesn't mean BT haven't made the switch! Some people are able to use both ISP's as there may be an overlap period. I'd recommend try changing your user/pass at 12 noon, then 2pm, 4pm, 6pm etc :)

Hi - I am now an official ADSL customer! Goodbye Tiscali (boooo!) forever :D
Thanks to putting an end to Tiscali's (boooo!) bandit bandwidth activities I can now log into the Playstation Network between 4pm-11pm, fantastic!!
Thanks to all at ADSL for making the transition a very pleasant one. Absolutely uncompromising A1 customer service.
I'm currently on the 2000 kbps BT limiter. Is the 10 day training period working days or inclusive of weekends?
IP profile for your line is - 2000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 8128 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1841 kbps
Thanks - Doc
Yeah its 10 days not working days :)
So after you migrate the training period starts again?
BT will never give a straight answer - but usually it doesn't start again. What does happen in cases where the line is connected at the full 7616 (interleaved) or 8128 (fast) is the profile gets stuck at 2000 kbps. We can get BT to sort that but they are never quick.
It may be worth leaving the router off from the morning of migration to say 8pm (if possible), as then the stuck profile issue will not occur.
James
James,
My activation date is tomorrow (2007-05-16) - are you advising that I should turn my router off for the day to avoid any "stuck" profile issues?
I'm currently on 512K.
If you are in a position to do so yes, e.g. if you don't need to use the Internet until after teatime - that's the best way of avoiding a stuck profile :)
James
OK will do, I'm at work all day.
Thanks James.
