View Full Version : Constant Disconnections And Slow Speed - ADSL 24 Not Contactable

Hey guys,

I felt compelled to post here because my product and service from ADSL 24 has always been great. That was until recently anyway...

I am getting disconnected very frequently. And my speed which used to average at around 6.5 Mb is now down to about 0.85 Mb. Clearly this is not acceptable and I have made steps to have it addressed.

I sent a ticket using the guidelines specified and the response I got was "AWAITING BT - FAULT". This doesn't really tell me much and so I wanted to speak with someone about it. After 2 phone calls waiting over half hour on the phone on hold and then being disconnected, I gave up.

This is really poor and I am seriously contemplating switching to another ISP. However, ADSL 24 has always been very good in the past so I don't want to do anything hastily.

If a representative of ADSL 24 can look into this and sort out my problems then I will happily stay. Otherwise, I intend to take my business elsewhere and make my feelings about this company known.

Sincerely,

Duel

P.S. My ticket number is 12694

I have the same status and similar problems. Not sure what is gong to happen but hopefully if it is BT, we will get some action - soon.

Hi,

I've had similar issues with disconnects and loss of transit otherwise. I had a stuck profile on top of this which ADSL24 resolved very quickly after getting on the phone... but I'm still waiting for BT to test something.

I still hate the fact that BT practically bully you into not pushing things too far for fear of a £188 fee. I'm sure they must close a tonne of tickets because people are worried about incurring such a huge bill, even when 99% sure it's not their own fault. Plenty of people must put up with niggly problems because of this.

If BT don't find anything, I'll rewire my faceplate myself and if I still have a problem, I'll have no choice but to jump ship (hopefully won't be necessary), I'm not going to pay £188 on the off chance that BT decide there's sod all wrong, despite the fact that things have only just started going tits up :S
