Can anybody clarify the notice period.
Is it 30 days from any part of a calendar month or 30 days from the start of the next calendar month payment?
eg, If my payments are from the first day of the month and I give notice on the 15 day of that month, will the final bill be for 15 days?

I'm sure the admins will jump on me if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding of the notice period:

One month from whatever date you choose to give notice. If your billing date is the 1st and you give notice on the 15th then Enta will take a full month's payment on the first of the following month but will reimburse you for the period from the 16th to the end of that month, in arrears.......which reminds me, I was never reimbursed by the thieves I was with before I came here - they did their own billing.

Correct. At any time after the first month, you can ask for a MAC code or Cease request. We will process that straight away - MAC codes show in your My account page within 24hrs and ceases take 5-7 days. If you've paid part of the month, you will be refunded the difference.

sorry for jumping in on this thread but I've just noticed my exchange is Be* enabled and may give them a try
I have only been here a month and I have found the service here most excellent and have recommended it to a few freinds (who hopefully will be signing up when they are out of their 12 month locked contract)

My question is (and I have requested a MAC code which if I do decide to go to Be* i hope is valid with their system) would I have to put the date to start with them as a month from when I get the MAC from here as it says you need a months Notice (Im easily confused)

I only ask as the other site is offering free connection during May and I would have to pay otherwise

After all this I may just decide to stay here anyway and If I did go would deffo come back if things went tsit up

As soon as you get the MAC you could sign up with them (as long as you've been with us a month).

Bear in mind once you move to Be, it will be a £45 fee to go back to a normal ISP as Be use LLU and some providers dont even accept LLU MAC codes - in which case you'd have to cancel the line completely and re-sign up with another ISP (which could incur activation fee anyway) which will mean downtime. Just a heads up :)

Thanks for the replay James and the heads up
I was sort of aware of the 45 quid charge for "going back"
Incidently are you one of the ISP's who DONT accept LLU MAC codes ?

Anyway I'm such a lethargic person I just may not bother with it all anyway and stay here :)

We do accept LLU codes :)
